1863 Starr Revolver Help.

Hi guys! Can anyone help me with a picture of the front sight and the height for an 1863 Starr 44 cal Revolver.
I purchased the Starr but the front sight blade is broken off, the dovetail mount.
I'm going to send to a gunsmith for a repair.

You need to install a pretty high sheet of brass, take a box full of your favorite rounds, head down to the range, and fire them off the bench at 25 yds - filing off the front sight until you've achieved your desired zero.

Have you worked up a load for the Starr yet? If not, put on the tall 3/4 inch+ front blade and work up a load. Then you can start filing sight for point of impact. Hope this helps
