SOLD! Merwin & Bray produced approximately 1000 of these carbines in .56 caliber and it appears they were all sold to Kentucky cavalry in 1863. This carbine is in outstanding original condition and is completely functional. The only replacement part I am aware of is the extractor knob. Please PM with questions. Stumbled on this old listing in the vault today and decided to give it a try once more at a reduced price. $1850
Less than a thousand produced for State of Kentucky. This one shows light when the hammer is cocked, I believe it has enough firing pin showing to work with available rimfire brass. Thanks
