Ok, I'm dropping the price again, $1049.00. Lower price, $1095.00! This is a great 1861 Springfield, mirror bore and no pitting anywhere on the gun. Barrel dated 1863 with crisp VP and eagle proofs. N.J. on the left barrel flat just above the wood line. Original swelled ramrod, bands, butt plate, etc. Now the down side, the stock has been professionally repaired at the wrist. other than that the wood is in excellent condition but no cartouche. Also, someone has just about wiped out the eagle and Springfield on the lockplate. You can make out FIELD without much problem. 1861 is clear. At the Fort would be great but I'm willing to meet at an agreeable spot within 1 1/2 hours drive or less of Winchester. I don't want to ship this because of the repair.
