For Sale: Original .69 caliber Plymouth Navy Rifle (Whitneyville Model 1861 Navy). Basically a decent, complete orignal. All you need to do is have Bobby Hoyt reline the bore to make a great skirmish gun. Asking $1,200. I'll have it at the Fort. Coming down Wednesday.

IS there something wrong with the rifling that would require it to be relined? In other words, why won't it make a fine shooting gun as is?

The bore is far too pitted to shoot as is.
