Trying to figure out this nipple issue. I have to order online, so I don't have the option of comparing to what I have. Instead, I have to go by sizes.
My question is, I have 4 muskets that I need to buy nipples for:

Antonio Zoli, Navy Arms M1841
Antonio Zoli, Navy Arms 1863 Zouave
Armi San Poalo P58 field
Euroarms 1861 Enfield Musketoon

They all use a 7mm wrench to remove, the 2 Zoli's have finer threads. does anyone know what size nipples to order? Seem Dixie Gun Works is what I have found that sells them.
Thanks in advance

Is it that the finer threads are 5/16 X 24,
and the courser threads are 5/16 x 18?

Be patient here Michael, some of the guys are still sleeping it off. If I may piggy-back, what are the dimensions of the nipple for an original 1842 smoothie?

The 1841, Zouave and '42 smoothie all use the 5/16-24 nipple. The Enfields use the 5/16-18 nipple

Mike,

Check out Track of the Wolf, https://www.trackofthewolf.com/Search.aspx?search=musket%20nipple Apparently some of the Italian muskets, made more recently than the old Zoli's, have metric nipples. Which do you have?

Dave,

Good one. Maybe you can talk the Moderators into changing the thread to "Cone Sizes".

I not sure how old my guns are, but they are at least early 70's.

I have ordered 5/16 X 18 and 5/16 X 24 Ampco from DGW. Well see how the fit when they come in.
