WTS: Project Starr Carbine
As it says, project gun. Gun is complete, new screws from S&S(need fitted). Needs a new stock, though someone more talented than me may be able to save the old one. Nice chunk of roughed out American black walnut is included. New barrel band from S&S. Bore is rough, but shootable, can be relined. Breech block has a clear passage. All the small, hard to find parts are there. Lock works perfectly. S/N is 10639, not in SRS, but falls smack in a large block that went to the 3rd Arkansas Cavalry. So very well could have seen some action, but who knows. Would display nicely as is, or make a fine winter/COVID project. Will ship with the buttstock removed to cut the cost. $450 shipped.
