Burnside Custom Mold Bullet Diameter Question

Thinking of having Accurate Molds make me a mold. What diameter should I ask for? I have been told Burnside bore diameter is .562. Am I correct? I am going to get mold design 54-390A. TIA.

They vary. 0.562" is on the big side. 0.560" works in most, especially if you cast with musket (soft) lead. The one I shoot now would be fine at 0.559" except for one groove that's deeper than the rest. The Accurate 56-390A is designed to duplicate the original Burnside nose profile and carries enough lube to shoot reasonably clean. Tom will cut it oversize if you want to go to 0.562".
