WTS Springfield 1884 Trapdoor Rifle

For Sale: Springfield Model 1884 Trapdoor rifle. Serial number dates production to 1886. Overall NRA antique Fine condition with most original finish remaining and some dings on the stock. The stock has six small nails inserted behind the trigger guard. These appear to have no functional use and are decorative only. Bore is dark with very sharp rifling. I spent a good amount of time cleaning the bore when I purchased the rifle, and it may clean up even better. Lock functions with (in my opinion) a good trigger pull. I have not shot this rifle on anything other than a snap cap.
