Smith experts,
If one were going to have a Navy Arms Smith barrel sleeved what, in your opinions, is the best configuration (number of lands & groves & twist rate) ?
I plan to shoot the standard .515 smith bullet in it.
Thanks in advance for the advice.

Gary, had mine done by Bobby Hoit. He sized it to shoot my .515 bullet. Shoots great and to the original point of impact with original load. Might have gone up a little by now but was very reasonable. Best to you and Liz. Joe B.

My maynard is Hoyt lined 3-land and groove, 1:60 twist, .514 , and shoots great with a .515 360 gr. smith-maynard bullet.

Thanks Joe, I plan on getting Bobby Hoyt to sleeve it, glad yours worked out. Was it a std. 3 grove sleeve ?
Sorry I didn't get to see ya at the Regional (Too busy hosting), See ya at the fort.

Tom, that's what I was looking for. I know Bobby will make any configuration but wanted to know if people have had better luck with the std. 3 grove or multi grove barrels.
Thanks for the input.
See ya at the fort,
Gary

I found the card Bobby gave me with the Smith. .515, 1 in 56, 3 grove.
