I was at the range with my Enfield and another shooter was telling me about the good results he gets with round ball and patch in his Springfield. He gave me a ball, sized .570 along with a .10 patch which he said is what he uses in his Springfield
The ball was so tight at the barrel crown I did not want to force it down.
I'd like to give it a try, has anyone tried a round ball in their Enfield and what size ball/patch combo do you use?
Thx!

Tackdriver - I sure hope you meant a 0.010" patch, and not a 0.100" patch!

Thanks Lou x 3. Any patch size recomendation with it? Looks like I need to buy that mold. No one has a .562 balls for sale that I can find.
Dang, and I JUST completed an order with Midway too!!

Yikes! (shudder)
No patch and they're fairly accurate? When I get the mold I'll start with the .O15s. That will get me close to the 58cal. thx

Tackdriver - I'm quite sure Lou isn't talking about shooting an unlatched round ball out of a rifled barrel.
