Parker Hale 1st generation P1853 musket. I had not planned to sell this. I just received it in July. Nevertheless, changes in domestic priorities compel.
Nice piece. A previous owner did a bedding job that is nice. This is a tight musket. I have not shot it but the bore is excellent and it is otherwise ready for someone who will put it to its proper use.
Full disclosure: the stock was re-epoxied at the factory joint. It is probably now stronger there than the rest of the stock. It would be missed by the untrained eye when bare, and it unnoticeable assembled. It also has a replacement tang screw and ramrod from S&S Firearms.
I did not want to sell this, and had plans. It is a nice musket. However, here it is...
