Newbie needs Reference Book for Pre .577 British Arms

Hi guys......thanks for having me! A few friends of my are members & invited me here. I fell into a couple of Tower Rifles & am curious on some of the previous models....is there a good reference book on them????? Thanks! Tim

Not sure of your time frame but you might start out looking for:

Firearms from Europe by David Noe, Larry W. Yantz and James B. Wisker

British Military Longarms 1715-1865 by D. W. Bailey

British Military Firearms 1650-1850 by Howard L. Blackmore

The British Soldier's Firearm From Smoothbore to Small Bore 1850-1864 by Dr. C.H. Roads

British Military Flintlock Rifles 1740-1840 by DeWitt Bailey, Ph.D.

Some of these are out of print and will be quite pricey if you can find them. Good Luck
