Hello everyone, being an avid shooter of firearms large and small, and jumping in to this whole N/SSA thing a couple months back, I think it's time to start looking at some smoothbore pieces.

That being said, I think a Potsdam would be a lot of fun, and I'm trying to get an idea of what the price is going to look like.

Dont count out the H&P converted 1816s. They also have a rear sight and can be pretty accurate!!

The only reason I mention the Potsdam is because I'm also a fan of Germanic firearms, and already have a Jaeger and a Mauser. It seems that a Potsdam would be a good addition!

You should be able to get one in serviceable condidion for under $1000. I gotone 2 years ago at Nat'ls for $650, but it needed a reline. That was another $200.

I hope to be at Spring National's for the Sunday team musket shoot. (I would be there Saturday, but my reenacting unit is doing Spotsylvania that same weekend, and I'd like to be there for that too.) I'd definitely like to look at the one you have, though I won't make any promises on buying it, as $1000 is outside of my budget at this particular moment. (I am looking to take a couple weeks of leave after National's, and will need available funding for that.)

I have a Hoyt-relined Potsdam (SAC card calls it a "1787 Saxon Musket" - Signed by John Holland) that has all the normal Potsdam Features.
Blond stock, Great lock and bolster, all original except Hoyt-reline and repro (but correct) rammer...

I'll take $800 for it.
Pics available...

My e-mail is HillenbrandG@Gmail.com, I'd certainly be interested in corresponding about said musket.
