I'm not overly familiar with all the makes of rifle-muskets, so I was a bit stumped by this.

I’m no expert but the lock plate shape reminded me of a 1854 Lorenz shape

Bones 92,

Your rifle musket is a Muster 1858, Type I, Bavarian Füsiliergewehr. Some were manufactured by Francotte in Liege, Belgium, and others by the Bavarians at their armory at Amberg. The designer was Captain Baron von Podewils, who was the director of the Amberg armory. The Austrians, Bavarians, and other south German states were parties to the South German caliber convention, and all adopted the same 13.9mm/.547 inch caliber so that they could use each others' ammunition in time of war. The convention was a kind of prototype for the NATO common standards 100 years later.

To the best of my knowledge none of these were imported for use by either side in the Civil War. Since I have one, I would be very interested in any documentation that they were imported.
