Project 1842 Springfield for sale.

This is a project 1842 Springfield. I was going to build this, but since then have found another gun that I'm trying to pay for. Mostly original parts, but the barrel was bobbed slightly to 40 1/2". I was going to have it stretched and relined. The forend has been replaced at some point, but a rather poor job. I include wood from John Bly to stretch it. It is a really nice section of forend. 2 band springs are original and one is a repo. The repo spring and the ramrod were purchased from Lodgewood. Good lock mechanics. The lock bolt screws are repo.
