Project M1841 Mississippi rifle for sale

Project M1841 rifle. I had collected parts for this to build a type 3 long range Mississippi rifle. Since then I bought one from a board member and need to sell this one to pay for part of it. It's an 1849 dated Whitney. It's been cut off just behind the rear band area. It's a smoothbore and I was going to have it relined. The forend and nosecap were purchased from John Bly and are excellent parts. The rest of the parts were purchased from Lodgewood. Lock functions ok and holds on full and half cock, but would probably need a little smoothing. I forgot to photograph an original rear band that also goes with it, that will be included in the sell. Barrel is original 33" length. Asking $925.00.
