Ideal/Lyman .557446 bullet mold

I acquired one of these molds recently. It looks like it might be for a Burnside, but has a very deep cavity.

Does anyone know what it was actually intended for?

They size down easily to .547 and I will try them in my Pedersoli Lorenz.

Not sure if that was a typo or not. I have an Ideal 557456 mold I use for my Burnside. The mold looks the same as yours, but the core pin is different. Mine has a pretty deep hollow base, but more rounded than yours. Of course lots of people make their own core pins, so who knows? At any rate, I was told the 557456 may have been intended for use in a revolving rifle, but that was just specilation.
