Has anyone come up with a way to keep Burnside brass from going inside one another when tumbling? I was thinking maybe cut some short pieces of small wire just a hair longer than the inside diameter of the brass and wedge them in there. That way the tumbling media (Stainless steel pins, in my case) could still get inside and clean the case, but they wouldn't self stack. I'm afraid that steel wire would scratch the inside. Maybe some stiff copper wire? Other suggestions?

Thanks,

Hal

What I used to do with the brass cases was take a worn out musket brush, chuck it in the drill press and clean the insides thata way. Most of mine split before they got too dirty anyway. I found out early on that after a couple times being fired in a particular carbine, they wouldn't fit any of my other carbines, just the one they were first fired in. Having 7 carbines made this problematic for me.

Now I use nylon/plastic cases and they interchange with no problems.

You can also use a carbine brush with a little bit of 000 steel wool wrapped on it. But if you tumble them they will stack.
