For sale, an H&P percussion converted Springfield model 1816 musket. Lock plate dated 1826. Metal has been cleaned. Musket three leaf rear sight. Bore lightly rusted with no pitting. Stock cartouche very very light but present. Proof mark "P" on barrel. Mechanically fine with strong main spring. Name of J ROUAM and number 82 neatly stamped in 1/2" markings forward of the lock on the for end. Ramrod appears to be original. Approved by the Small Arms Committee and issued card.
