For sale is a very nice Civil War Frank Wesson Carbine. Finish is the usual brown spotted patina. Action is tight and crisp. Bore is surprisingly good, may not need a reline. Appears to be one pit forward of the chamber. Bore picture is unfortunately not very clear.
Missing the front sling swivel although the bar to hold it is present. The barrel "hold open bar"(?) is also missing, but doesn't seem to affect the action at all. Rear sight will need a screw.
Nice gun for Single Shot or for the collector.
Kittredge marked! The Kittredge guns are very desirable and this one is marked. See pictures. Asking $1250.
