Still looking for either Rapine 580510 or Lyman 580213 mold, to throw a heavier, bigger minie for my Pedersoli P58, which needs a vullet sized to .578.

Currently awaiting a Rapine 578460 which I'm hoping will be OK with a modfied base plug, but also keen on the 580510 or 580213.

Cheers

They can be found on ebay. Most of them are 575213. I have a 585213 that I am waiting to buy another Snider for. I had 2 beautiful Sniders. 2 band Sergeant's Model and 3 band. Like new. Sold them because I could not hit anything. Now, I know the proper loading technique to get accuracy.

Surprising to me that nobody makes pound swages to bump minies up a little.
They make push through sizers so why not swages?

I have tried with some success to bump up a 575213 OS and new style to increase as cast diameter to .58" (mine drop out at .576")

In fact some of the bullets have bumped up very well ...but not always!

Not too bad lapping the mold either ...carefully!

Played around with a Lee 575 500, cos these are cheap enough to modify without being too worried about getting it wrong! ...and also trimming down the base plugs to resemble that on a 575213PH ...essential for the 1:48 twist of the Pedersoli P58 Enfield

Probably easier to get a Parker Hale P58, with progressive rifling, as the as cast size is not that crucial.
