I made the mistake of buying 4 cans of goex 4f powder a few years ago, yes I have tons of flinters but a pound can last years. Anyway I just acquired a Uberti Rem Navy 36 cal. I tried 10 grns of the 4F and got great groups from the bench, 3 to 4 inches at 25 yards. Does anyone use 4F in their revolvers for competition? any issues or drawbacks?

Do y'all deep seat the ball or use some filler over the powder? Grease over the ball or a wad?

Cream of Wheat filler. Grease over the ball is required by rule.

I’ve experimented with it. Works OK, but you have to watch for powder dribbling out of the nipples.
