This rifle has an 1849 Whitney lock with original hammer. The stock is original up to the first barrel band and has been joined under the band. The wood matches. The barrel is original and relined by Hoyt to 7 lands and grooves and is .576. The proper bayonet lug with 1" guide is on the barrel. All the brass is original except for the short upper band for long range sight. All screws and band springs are original. The long range sight is a Rich Cross repro. The front sight is a repro.
