Hi everybody, thank you in advance for any info and comments that will boost our knowledge about this Sharps. Special thank you to Mr Jim L, who directed me here for help, citing the awesome nature of everybody here on the forum.

I took this Sharps in on trade, and before I go listing it up all over the internet for sale and available, I want to gain as much knowledge as possible. The rifle IS available for immediate sale to anybody that makes a fair offer, just "shoot" me an email to jerryc@thebulletranch.com. I can also send additional photos direct, have plenty more just dont want to sit all day uploading, anybody wants just email and I will forward the whole batch

What we know/think:

1859 Sharps, probably originally a carbine. Not a Berdan? Definitely has been re barrelled. Bore measure .63, so possible old 20 gauge shotgun barrel? Just dont know

The action works great, trigger and lever and breech operate just as it should

Anybody that sees anything insightful, please post up!

Will post up as many pictures as it will allow, I can be reached direct at 740 964 1787

Thanks everybody again; shoot straight!

I believe Richard Labowski owns the Sharps factory records. Call him at (215) 748 1376 and he will tell you if he has it's pedigree. If so for $50 he'll send you a letter/documentation.

But I'm sure other will maybe have some info here.
