Hello:
Searched here to no avail.

Just acquired Nixon (#217) '55 w Whitacre, recrowned by Hoyt -according to orig. owner. It is in superb condition.

Crown is rounded/radiused.

Which crown profile (flat or rounded) is historically correct for this model, and is the muzzle crown profile a SAC issue, please?

Many thanks,
Kevin Tinny

Kevin - There are no restrictions on crown profile. The historically correct crowning is flat across the muzzle, with only the edges of the lands crowned down just to the level of the groove without taking anything off the groove. That means the edge of the groove is left sharp and square at the muzzle.
