A really unique, historic in quotes, and shootable history to boot.
Steve Doyle of your N-SSA made this from an original model 1855 rifled-musket.
The barrel and stock are original, barrel measures .580 and has original rifling.
The lock (complete) is a Rich Cross as is the rear sight, which is the long range one that is good with tired old eyes. Oops, wrong sight described, is the normal one, not long range.
I never fired it, but it looks like new, and was made the way the Richmond Arsenal made carbines throughout the war. Started with a battlefield salvaged musket and cut it to carbine.
Built by an artist, needs an artist shooter to take it into the new season, spring approaches!
$900.00 postpaid.
