FOR SALE: Original Sharps 3 Band Infantry Rifle
.52 Caliber, S/N: C39554. Bore is in good condition with some light peppering around breach/nipple area. Good rifling still present. Case hardening still visible on breach block. Action is tight. Barrel is fitted with lug for saber bayonet (not included).
BEAUTIFUL, stock showing three crisp cartouche acceptance stamps on the left side. This rifle was obviously NEVER issued for field use. She does feature her characteristic patch box with walnut buttstock, and longer forearm to accommodate the longer barrel.
She is a completely original piece, with the correct second barrel band with integrated swivel.
