Years ago, a good friend and long time skirmisher, gave me some old musket caps to try. They were thick, made of copper and hard to ignite- you needed a strong mainspring. He said they were from the 1960's. I do not recall the manufacturer. While I was at a local flea market this weekend, I purchased a half of a tin of these caps, in an unmarked tin. The price was ridiculously low, but the vendor had no idea what caps are going for either. I have attached a photo.
Any ideas?6168

These appear to be British Eley caps from the 1950's through the late 1970's. They are virtually waterproof and mildly corrosive.

The ones I were given did not blouse out far when they were fired. Weak mainsprings would not set them off either!
