I have a Mossberg 500 field/deer combo that I don't think can be beat for the price. At around $300 it comes with a field barrel for bird/skeet and an interchangeable rifled slug barrel and 4X scope for deer. The Military and police have been using the M500 for over 25 years so it's a proven weapon. They are available at Wal-Mart, Cabelas, Dick's Sporting Goods (where I got mine) and are in both 12 and 20 guage configurations. Stock configurations are almost without number so if change of buttstock is required for trigger reach and comfort an aftermarket one is available for usually $40-$60 and only takes a few minutes to change. Good shooting.
