OK hears a question for Enfield experts- Which side do the screws on Palmer bands enter from , same side as lock screws or same side as lock? always puzzled me as there is a flat on the rear band that would lead one to believe that the flat went to the rear . Which is correct ? as I hear they are tapered to the barrel contour. Pm me with an answer or leave it in post. Thanks all R Filbert 7519V . Hazelwood Vol.

I believe all the screws enter from the same side of the arm that the lock screws enter from.

Hallo!

Correct. All screws feed from the "Enfield's" left side whether BSAT, London Commercial, London Armoury, or RSAF made.

But generations of collectors, antique dealers, and even museum staff have been switching them after cleaning, etc., so it can be tricky.

Thanks guy that is what I thought, Dont look right otherwise I also hear they were tapered inside to fit stock and barrel contour I have looked on the Net and it appears most pics you see have them backwards. Seems more logical to have all screws enter from the same side. Thanks for the reply's R Filbert 7519V Hazelwood Vol.
