I have an original Ballard Carbine for sale. The wood is in great shape with only one expertly repaired crack on the for arm piece. It has been converted to center fire and the pin is spring loaded as is necessary for N-SSA approval. It is in 44 caliber and I have fired .44 Mag from it and it did pretty well but I never really sighted it in. It has a blank flip up rear sight. The bore is discolored but it has strong rifeling. It is Civil War vintage with an 88XX serial number. Asking $1500. + shipping. More pictures available upon request. This would make a great gun for the new single shot cartridge competition.
