The front sight fell off my Armisport 1861 Springfield again. I had a friend solder it back on about a year ago but I want to have it fixed right
I called the one and only gun shop in the area of NJ where I am and they would not do it and could not recommend anyone to fix it
Does anyone know where I can have this front sight reinstalled so that it doesn't keep falling off ?
Thanks

My attempt to replace the 300meter front sight with a taller one did not go well. The dovetail on the post snapped. Very disappointing. I need a replacement front sight post. Anyone have one? TIA, Dan Hey, Carfax is getting costly so I found a good substitute http://vehhistory.com . This website provides VIN reports for free.
Please tell me what a 300 meter front sight is. And how a VIN report can make it better....

I sent the barrel to Charlie Hahn on 8/9 but am still waiting for the repair. I am sure he is busy.
Thanks for the info. I will save that Gunsmith for future reference since he is in NJ
