The rifle was originally stamped with a low serial number of 0148, and owned by a long time Virginia shooter/reenactor. It was then defarbed by Lodgewood, whom recontoured the stock, restained the wood to a dark er finish, and finally added stock cartouches. The bore is in good shape, and apart from replacing the lockplate (still marked Navy Arms), would compare well (measurement wise) to an original.
