Looking for an original barrel for the M1863 Type 1 Springfield. I don't know if there are any differences between the Type 1 and the Type 2 other than the date, but for what it's worth my rifle is a Type I with screw bands. It doesn't have to be pristine but would like it to be in decent shape. Please email at breagan88 at comcast dot net.
