What lube should I use to fill my revolver chambers over the bullet? I've been told to use white lithium grease but would prefer a non-petroleum solution.

Hi, I use Len's Lube. I use it for all my guns except the Henry. Powder, grits, ball and Len's Lube.

Have fun!

I use musket lube, perhaps thinned a little to make it softer. For me that means a mix of synthetic mobil 1 and beeswax, but whatever you use would be fine. Stays put, where crisco or bore butter or lithium blows off after a shot or two.

While at nationals, I saw a guy doing something new to me, at any rate. He charged powder, a cardboard wad, a squirt of synthetic grease measured by observing the gradations on an oversized medical style syringe that he had filled with it, then seated a conical with lubed grooves over the grease. I'd heard of this approach but never had seen it. He did extremely well, too.
