I have 3 of the modified Lyman 50/70 bullet molds for sale. I have .519", .520" and .521" diameter molds. The weight averages about 380 grains cast 25/1. They shoot well in Maynards with some shooters reporting golf ball sized groups at 50 yds. They should shoot well in a Smith carbine also. The cost is $85 plus $6 shipping. I have some unmodified molds that I could work up for other sizes. PM me if you are interested. Thanks for looking, John Bly

Each of these bullets could be sized down .002" easily. Each mold is adjusted for proper pin alignment and they close properly. Each comes with several bullets cast with it to confirm the size. The loaded rounds look like a Maynard round should look. The .521" size was to clean up a mold that was .005" out of round. Once in a while this size is just the ticket.

I am not a great shot by any stretch of the imagination but with one of John's modified molds, in a 1st Model Maynard and from a solid rest, at 50 yds., I put 5 shots into one ragged hole. Now that's saying something for someone who has been a "striker" for 25 years.

The .520" and .521" bullet molds are still available. I enlarge other molds as as well. I'm cutting two 515139 molds this week to .520" diameter. PM me if you are interested.

Do you have any that could be sized to .516? I'm interested! Steve

I would not recommend sizing either of these two down to .516". It would deform the grease grooves too much. I've got several unmodified molds that can be reworked to .516" or .517". I have to cast bullets with them first to see what size bullets they make to know how much to cut out of them and I have not done that. I'm quite busy for about the next month so it will be mid July before I get to do that. The price is the same as the ones I have in inventory. PM me if you are still interested.

John, Fine, I am still interested, I will wait, let me know when you have one that can be sized to .516 and I will send you the money.

Thanks!
