I have for sale a Ward patent alteration of a Asa Waters M1816 type 2. Unfortunately the original self-priming hammer has been replaced with what looks to be a M1842 type hammer. The musket does however retain the original Ward flip up rear sight, and the distinct cone shaped front sight. The gun has a few condition issues: pitted butt plate, some cracks in the butt stock, several gouges to the forearm, and it missing the tang screw. Still, with as few as 300 of these alterations performed for the State of New York, this is a firearm that many collections lack.

I have a few pictures that can be viewed here (https://www.dropbox.com/sh/q4d2tiu1kaspntg/AABHMC785DTS5N8KRx-58f5Na?dl=0). Send me a message for additional photos.

Asking $850 OBO. Or trade for/towards other percussion altered US Arms, Hall's Rifles, or an Austrian M1854 Lorenz.

Thank you,
Garrett Glover
