Hello:

Searching here for info on the RCBS-Hodgdon semi-wadcutter Minie ball produced a post that called it a "cumberland" bullet.

Please share why this modern Minie variant is also called "cumberland".

Many thanks,

Heard from Phil Spaugy:

I mistakenly referred to "cumberland" as the nick-name for the RCBS minie.

Phil just shared that he simply called the RCBS minie the "Monticello" bullet because of its resemblance to Thomas Jefferson's home.

Thanks, Phil.
