38-40 WCF uses a .401" diameter bullet. This mould looks like it would be for a 38-55 WCF, which uses a bullet in the .375 to .379 range.

It would probably also make a great bullet to use in a 36 caliber Maynard carbine. (I know because I shoot one.)
