View Full Version : Traditional match question and an interesting point

I haven't fired in the traditional match. I may never, given the low turn out. But, in principle, I'd not mind getting together the kit that I could at some point, if I wanted to. For uniforms and so on, that's clear enough.

The question comes to guns. Under rule 5.10.2 (a) smoothbores may be fired in the traditional match. Ignoring the accuracy difficulties this would pose-

1. This would mean a lot of guys who aren't doing the traditional match for lack of a gun could in theory do it, even if they didn't hit much. We should publicize this. Some even have the full uniform.
2. The question is: in using wrapped ammo specific to a pattern utilized during the CW, for smoothbores, what pattern would this be, in fact? Given we're firing single projectiles and not 'buck and ball.'
