I had beeen searching for reloading dies for my .50 Maynard carbine and Roger Wayte suggested using the available 56.50 Spencer dies. So I bought a set of Lyman 56.50 dies and tried them. The bullet seating die works just fine for seating the bullet into the brass. I don't crimp my Maynard brass so I just set the die above the crimping portion. I use this die in my RCBS Rock Chucker press.

Many folks just push the heads in with their thumbs.
some have a " reloading device" that uses a hammer to seat the head. YMMV

50-70 dies or the two piece metal loading tool.

I made a straight line reloading tool much like a Lee Loader. I also made a case mouth expander tool, which was pretty tricky because I don't have a shell holder that works with that Maynard rim.

Not bragging, just sharing.

North-East Trader has a shell holder for the 50 Maynard cases. Dan Whitacre makes them as well. I use Lyman 50/70 dies if I need to work the cases. I had to make a longer seating stem for the short Maynard case. I made a sizing die to reduce the Maynard brass if it grows too tight to chamber but I only use it if necessary.
