I have a 3/4 size frame old Ari Sport 1858 Pistol and I also have so full sized ones.

I can get the bullets I shoot in the full sized frame models in to the 3/4 Frame but it takes a bunch of HAMMERING.

So I guess this is a .451 chamber... if I want to shoot bullets should I get a .451 sizing die? or is it normal to get something a bit larger or a bit smaller?

Your bullet (or are you shooting a round ball?) should be oversized, but shoudn't take THAT much effort to seat.

David,
Are you sure the caliber is .44 and not .36 ?

I've never heard of a 3/4 scale 1858 Remington. Interesting.

Are you using soft lead?

The revolver in question is actually more like a 7/8th scale. That is due to a general shrink factor of about 1/8th" when casting off an original revolver.
