For your consideration. I bought it around 2002 or 2003 from Lodgewood. All the defarb they did back then was relocate the serial number under the barrel and remove the modern markings. I carried it in half a dozen events and living histories in the early 2000s and live fired it once at the range. Reliable good musket. Normal light wear here and there from use. Only real blemish is the ramrod channel at the middle band, the wood stressed a bit from some careless fellow who didn't know how to stack arms and collapsed it with someone's bayonet blade fluke dinging right there... I never messed with it aside from hitting is lightly with some sand paper to smooth any errant spots. And the middle band is hellishly tight to remove. I had planned to send it to Lodgewood for an updated defarb (stock shape refinements, lock mortices, and rework the sling loop pins) but came across a brand new Armisport 1842 that a fella had defarbed by them in this manner, and he decided to sell... So this musket is on the chopping block to generate some funds for other things.

Cheapest I have found brand new out of the box are $825 plus shipping from Dixie Gunworks. With the small stock ding in mind, but that it has been defarbed to a degree it is useable at any event, I'd like to sell for $750 shipped and insured, but will consider a reasonable counter offer if I am off base of what these tend to sell for. It has been sitting in my safe and needs a loving home. Aside from my needing to take a little steel wool to the buttplate, the metal is all bright and clean with a natural dulling patina from sitting in my safe. It is campaign and/or skirmish ready.

Happy to email more pics upon request.

Payment by USPS money order preferred.

This is cross posted.
