I am using an IAB Sharps and I have the Rapine mould 557475. Any ideas on a good powder charge on this?
Thanks

Hey Dutch,
Just got my Pedersoli Sharps runnin. It seams to like 37 grains 3f goex with the Lyman 557 (same basic bullet).
Hope this helps,
Gary B.

Thanks for the info and I will try the loads. I know that I need a new front sight on the carbine - any ideas of where that could be done.

Gary, I have to stand shoulder to shoulde rwith you to see how you do with that fancy one.

By the way I am using the tubes by Charlie Hahn and they worked great. No mess and no bother.

Dutch,
I'll probably shoot it at the fall regional, if it behaves. I agree that Charlies tubes are the way to go, makes for a good solid round to chamber.
See ya there,
Gary

Dutch,
didn't mean to ignore your question. I put a taller blade on mine and a team mates Shiloah, if you can get it to me I could likely fix er up.
Is it a solid blade and base ?

Gary,
That is a good question. It looks like it is a solid base but it has been cut to make room for the blade. Probably not doing a good job of describing it for you but the whole thing needs to be replaced. Maybe we could set up at time to meet somewhere in between or something.
