Hey guys and gals...I hope I'm not committing a "party foul" by using the W/FS forum as my first post but here goes.

I was steered here by another board I frequent, Castboolits.com. I cast and reload for my own use, and recently bought a milk crate of old molds at an estate sale. I kept all the pistol and rifle molds, but I have no need for the black powder stuff. Hopefully, someone here can put them to good use. Pretty sure they're all used, but are in good shape.

Prices are for the blocks only--NO handles, shipped priority to ConUS and packed like I don't trust the US Postal Service. Prefer funds in postal money order or personal check.

(Paypal and anything firearm related don't mix and I'm not set up to receive credit cards.)

All prices include shipping.

#1 Lyman 575602 $50

#2 Lyman 575213 $40

#3 Lyman 533476 $40 (has additional homemade base pin)

#4 Lyman 454616 $40

#5 P-H 58560 $30 (I believe this is a Parker-Hale, but it's missing the base pin)

#6 0877 (unknown maker) $30 54 cal maxi--aluminum blocks look like different
makers, but the cavity is the same.

There are also some round ball molds and some Lee aluminum molds I can put in another thread if there is any interest in them.

Let me know....

Do you happen to have a pic of the P_H base plug?

Thanks

Your pictures are good. The 58 and 54 minies are used by N-SSA shooters but they are a discriminating lot and won't pay near new prices for used molds. Ones missing base pins are hard to sell except when very cheap. Most skirmishes prefer to buy from other members or sutlers and are cautious about scams from non-members. These reasons could be why you've gotten a cold reception. Cut your prices 25-30% and list shipping charges and you may get some action.

Agree with the above. I don't need any of these molds in particular, but Midway for instance has the 575213 for sale for $76 new. I could walk on to sutler's row at nationals and buy that mold used for $40-$50 any day of the week.

They appear to be decent molds otherwise though, and I think if you priced them a bit more competitively you'd see some action.

The one missing the base plug is probably a $10-$20 item, and of use only to someone who has a warped block or can cut a new base plug. Some guys DO need that.

If you don't know the value of an item, list it on eBay. The market will tell you the street value.

Thanks guys! Advice taken and original post edited accordingly. I assure you I'm not trying to scam anyone, just trying to find the right market. (and smooth things over with the wifey.)

"You spent HOW MUCH on that box?!"
