If it's of use, this is my reference chart of measurements taken on the blocks and interchangeable plugs of nominally .58 caliber Lyman minie molds.
Missing the plug for the 575602.

This morning used the 602 blocks with the 494 plug to make some .575 ball-ets for the musketoon.
And paper patched they also fit the .583 bore on the TC Hawken.
Hopefully will find out soon how they work.

Much depends on which base plug you have for the 602. The base plug for the earlier Ideal and early Lyman mold does not interchange with the later molds Lyman produced, circa 1978-80, that employed a split ring. Also, there is a slight variation in the plug diameter making it impossible to swap the base plugs between the two plug designs. Lyman's later production are larger in diameter than the earlier design of the 602.

So very true. If you want to have the flexibility to swap out plugs you have to get the molds that actually will interchange or else do modifications.
I'm seriously threatening to get an adjustable length plug to fit multiple molds.

In checking the dimensions of the two base plugs, the earlier mold with the locking pin measures .575 while the base plug with the split ring measures a full .580

Didn't get to go try them out today.
Maybe tomorrow!
