Wow, just where have you been putting those caps??? Thx. I already have the straight one, am ws not sure if it would work on a pistol. would you know if the type that looks like a mandolin pick fair any better? They're flat, hold something like 25 caps? Hard to find etc..

That I don't know. I'm not very familiar with the Walker. I just put them on my nipples. No, wait, on my Rogers & Spencer's nipples!

I have 3-4 of the straight-line cappers. They are such a pain in the butt, really for any of my revolvers, including my Walker. They are a pain to load up with caps, and half the time they spit out an extra one during loading that gets lost on the ground. I've all but given up on using one and have gone back to using my fingers.

I never had much luck with the straight ones, but have used the round plastic ones with minimal PITA-ness

Personally, I have used the straight line cappers with an assortment of percussion revolvers with no problems. You might have to "tweak" the spring fingers to suit your particular needs, but it shouldn't be a big issue. I have not tried it on a Walker because I can't hold 4.2 pounds of revolver with one hand!

I have used the Ted Cash (TDC) in-line cappers on my Remington. It can be a pain to load up the capper, but it ultimately makes capping the revolver much easier when I'm on the line.

Well I guess I wont order the cap loader at the same time as the pistol. Just wait and see and figure out what may work best.

Thanks everyone!

Use the red plastic cappers made by Thompson Center. They hold 7 caps and once loaded are very easy to use. I use a small pair of 90 degree needle nose pliers to load them up far in advance of going to a skirmish. They are inexpensive, indestructible and very handy. And for a fumble fingers like me, who doesn't have the necessary dexterity to pick my nose at times, they simply work!
