Picked this up around Christmas of this past year and have no real need of it, as I shoot an original Maynard or my Garrett Sharps. Am selling this Smith carbine as-is. I have not fired it, but I will tell you it appears to be short chambered. I have about 50 brass cases, 90+ black plastic and 50+ new Yore rubber cases. The action closes on the black plastic and the Yore, but not on the brass cases. Also, it appears that someone has tried to rework the flash hole in the breechblock. The carbine appears new. Looks great. But I would rather just cut my loses and move this on to somebody that really wants a Smith. Will include all the cases, a Smith loading tool, a four-cavity .517 bullet mold and handles.
