I just noticed that Cabela's is running a sale on their P1853 Enfields:

$750 - hard to beat that price.

The Two-bander is $730:

Or you could charge $7,500,000.00 dollars to you Cabela's Club card and get it free.

I don't know about that, but if you sign up for their credit card you typically get another $50-$75 off your order.

You could probably pick up one of these guns for under $700.

On the club credit card you get 1 percent back for every dollar you charge. You can then use those points or dollars to buy things from there catalog.

I bought a Pedersoli 3 band from Cabela's a couple of years ago, when it was also on sale, and it is a very accurate rifle. I can hardly wait to see new Pedersoli Whitworth!

correction

5% at cabelas an 1% outside there are other stores that get me 2% for gas and food if I remember but I dont keep up with them.

Your right 5 percent at Cabela's 1 percent elsewhere. Didn't know about the 2 percent for gas.
I always use my points to buy cloths. Their like LL Bean they have good cloths but to expensive.

I put anything and everything on it. Really pays off.
Plus they are very easy to deal with and nice.

Had a call one day about my card and they found it to be hacked, mail order stuff from out west along with point of sale out west but I used my card local at a place that is normal for me.

They called and said I have a new card in the mail, I said why and she said it looks to be used in an area you are not.
They sent me a new card in 2 days had a check list of all the charges saying to check mine and return.
Never seen anything on the bill or wasted any time with it.

Lot of people dont know you can also use it and not cut a check or carry cash for large ticket items.
I used it few years back to buy my truck.
Just charged 50% the cost and did factory financing for the rest.
Dealers dont like it but will not let you walk over it.

Later this fall when I get my boat I will be doing the same.
Will charge it and get the points...

I had the same thing happen to me. Only someone tried to use it in Switzerland. Never been to Switzerland in my life. They blocked it and I had to call and get the card on blocked. They issued me a new card and I had a limit put on the card. Any charges over that limit I have to call and give a security code and it will go through. I used it South Africa when I was there 95 with out a hitch. Best way to get the correct exchange rate.

Steve

Haven't ever bought any firearms at Cabela's but in negotiating with one store some months back to buy an original Spencer carbine, they insisted that it be shipped to a FFL dealer only. As many dealers charge a $35 fee for such services even though the rifle may be exempt from federal law, I learned that Cabela's does not recognize a C&R license as being any equivalent to a dealer's license any more than does Fed EX. I hate to go through the expense to get a dealer's license just to eliminate all the BS but that seems to be what it is coming to these days. Maybe while I am at it, I may as well get the manufacturing license as well?
