As I was cleaning up all my gear for the upcoming season, I checked my sizing dies with some gage pins. My ".575" sizer was actually .543 and a bit, and my ".576" is actually .578. These are fairly new dies from a reputable vendor. Might could 'splain why I was getting keyholes with a bullet that spodabe .0015 under bore size. I was able to open up the small one using a cylinder hone (took 40 minutes and 2 batteries) but I haven't figured out how to polish 2 thousandths back onto the other one yet. At least now I have a new excuse for all of last season's misses!

Ahhhhh.......THAT also explains why you didn't have to use your ram rod until after you had fired the first 10 rounds!

I don't care what my bullets actually size to dimension-wise, I go by fit in the barrel.
